A serious road accident occurred on National Highway 28 within the Bachhwara police station area of Begusarai district on Friday night. A 65-year-old elderly man, identified as Ramsagar Singh, a resident of Suro village in Govindpur Teen Panchayat, was critically injured after being hit by a speeding motorcycle near Suro Dhala while attempting to cross the road.

According to local eyewitnesses, Ramsagar Singh was standing by the roadside, waiting to cross, when a motorcycle approaching from the Teghra side struck him with great force. He was immediately rushed to the Bachhwara Community Health Center. After initial treatment, given his critical condition, he was referred to Begusarai Sadar Hospital for advanced medical care. Doctors have stated that his condition remains critical. Dr. Rajkamal confirmed that the injured elderly man brought from Suro Dhala was referred after preliminary treatment. This incident highlights the increasing concern over road accidents on national highways and the safety of elderly pedestrians.
