A 64-year-old man tragically died due to electrocution in Abdalpur village, under the Warisaliganj police station area of Nawada district. The deceased has been identified as Surendra Yadav, a resident of Abdalpur village. The incident occurred when Surendra Yadav was returning home with his buffalo. Suddenly, an 11,000-volt power line snapped and fell to the ground, coming into contact with him. He was electrocuted on the spot and died instantly. People nearby attempted to save him but were unsuccessful.

The deceased's son stated that his father was returning home with his animals, as was his daily routine, when the accident happened. The family has directly accused the electricity department of negligence for this incident. They argue that such a tragedy could have been averted had the power lines and poles been inspected and repaired in a timely manner.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police from Warisaliganj police station arrived at the scene. Under the leadership of Station House Officer Pankaj Kumar Saini, the police team inspected the site and initiated necessary procedures. The body was taken into custody and sent to Sadar Hospital, Nawada, for post-mortem examination. Police have launched an investigation into the matter. Villagers and the victim's family have demanded that the electricity department conduct a thorough investigation, take action against those responsible, and provide adequate compensation to the bereaved family.
