Sherghati, Gaya: The Fire Department team in Sherghati conducted an extensive fire safety awareness program for school children on Monday. Held at JP Memorial School, the initiative aimed to educate students on fire prevention and safety measures.

During the program, fire personnel explained to the children the various causes of fires, the potential damage they can inflict, and effective methods to control them. Jitendra Kumar Malhotra, addressing the attendees, emphasized the critical role of awareness and correct information in preventing fire incidents. He stated that minor precautions and timely actions could avert major disasters. Malhotra also instructed the children on how to find a safe place and help others to safety in the event of a fire, rather than panicking.

The fire safety team provided detailed information on precautions to be taken during fires caused by domestic gas cylinders, electrical short circuits, and other common sources. Furthermore, students were taught the correct procedure to inform the Fire Department in an emergency. The event saw the presence of School Principal Chandan Kumar Mishra, along with Fire Department officials Subodh Ram, Nitish Kumar, Naresh Kumar, and other dignitaries.
