Police have arrested an accused in connection with the firing incident that took place on the night of August 9 in Kochaya village, under the Imamganj police station area. Station House Officer Amit Kumar stated that the arrested accused has been identified as Nishant Kumar alias Ishant, a resident of Khunti Kewal Khurd village in Hunterganj police station area of Jharkhand.

The police received confidential information that the accused in the firing case was hiding at his aunt's house in Jalbar. Acting on this tip-off, the police conducted a raid and apprehended Nishant. After interrogation, the accused was presented before the local court on Tuesday, from where he was sent to judicial custody. The police are continuing further investigation into the matter.
