बिजली विभाग ने स्पष्ट किया है कि बिजली चोरी एक गंभीर अपराध है और इससे विभाग को भारी राजस्व का नुकसान होता है। विभाग ने चेतावनी दी है कि भविष्य में भी ऐसे अभियान जारी रहेंगे और बिजली चोरी में संलिप्त पाए जाने वाले किसी भी व्यक्ति को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा। विभाग ने आम जनता से भी अपील की है कि वे बिजली चोरी रोकने में सहयोग करें और यदि उन्हें कहीं भी बिजली चोरी की जानकारी मिलती है, तो वे तुरंत विभाग को सूचित करें। विभाग का मानना है कि जनता के सहयोग से ही बिजली चोरी पर पूरी तरह से अंकुश लगाया जा सकता है और सभी उपभोक्ताओं को निर्बाध बिजली आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित की जा सकती है।
