Thousands of families in Barhara block of Bhojpur district have been affected by the rising water level of the Ganga river. Many villagers have been forced to leave their homes and seek shelter in safer places. During this challenging time, former IPS officer and wife of Bhojpur SP, Kamya Mishra, extended help to the flood victims.

Kamya Mishra reached the flood-affected areas by boat from Keshavpur Ganga Ghat in Barhara block. She distributed approximately 400 relief packets in the flood-hit regions, personally delivering the materials and understanding the needs of the people. The relief packets included food items, as well as essential supplies for women and girls, such as sanitary pads, to assist affected families during these difficult circumstances.

Mishra distributed aid in several flood-affected areas, including Neknam Tola, Shaligram Singh ka Tola, Bakhorapur, and Jiba Rai ka Tola. Her initiative to reach these areas by boat through the floodwaters was widely praised by the locals. A notable aspect of this relief effort was the absence of publicity or showmanship. Kamya Mishra maintained distance from media cameras while assisting people, stating that her primary priority was to deliver aid to those in need during this difficult period. The distribution of relief materials brought significant support to the affected families, with people remarking that such humanitarian efforts provide great relief to victims during natural disasters and exemplify humanity and sensitivity.
