A large pile of garbage has accumulated directly in front of the Sonbarsha Raj Police Station in Saharsa district, causing significant inconvenience to local residents, students, and commuters. The accumulated waste is spreading filth and an unbearable stench throughout the area, polluting the surrounding environment.

Of particular concern is the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, which operates right next to this garbage dump. Hundreds of girls reside and study at this school, and there is a strong apprehension that the continuous accumulation of waste could adversely affect their health. This route is not only used by local residents but also by students from a nearby high school who commute daily, facing considerable discomfort due to the garbage.

Local villagers, including Pawan Yadav, Sudhir Yadav, and Nagendra Yadav, have expressed their concern over the situation. They stated that the long-standing accumulation of garbage in front of an important and sensitive location like a police station highlights administrative negligence. Villagers have urged the district administration and the Nagar Panchayat to take immediate steps to remove the garbage and ensure regular cleaning in the future, thereby alleviating the problem for residents and safeguarding the health of the students.
