Anuj Singh, a resident of Kachnawa village, was severely injured on Tuesday near Dadpur More in the Belaganj police station area of Gaya district after being hit by a speeding sand-laden tractor. The tractor driver fled the scene with the vehicle immediately after the accident.

Following the incident, a crowd of local residents gathered at the spot. They promptly took the injured Anuj Singh to the Belaganj Community Health Center for treatment. Doctors there provided preliminary treatment, but due to his critical condition, he was referred to Gaya for better medical care.

Anuj Singh's condition remained serious even during treatment in Gaya, prompting doctors to refer him to Patna. JDU leader Dharampal Singh stated that the fast-moving, sand-laden tractor struck Anuj Singh forcefully, causing severe injury to one of his legs.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Belaganj police launched an investigation. The police are actively working to identify the absconding tractor driver and the vehicle involved. Belaganj SHO Sunil Kumar Dwivedi confirmed that necessary legal action would be taken as soon as an application regarding the incident is received at the police station. The police are thoroughly investigating the facts related to the case.
