The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted extensive raids on Wednesday in Gaya district, Bihar, targeting a fake currency racket. NIA teams simultaneously raided three locations: two within the Amas police station area and one in the Barachatti police station area. Gaya SSP Sushil Kumar confirmed the NIA's operation.

SSP Kumar stated that the NIA teams have concluded their operation and departed. However, there has been no official confirmation of any arrests or significant recoveries made during the raids. He added that the agency has not yet shared detailed information regarding the operation.

The investigating agency is working to uncover the full extent of this fake currency network and identify all individuals involved. Sources indicate that the raids were aimed at exposing the illicit trade of counterfeit notes and its associated network. The NIA teams reportedly collected some crucial evidence from all three locations. Police sources mentioned that no major breakthroughs have been reported so far in Amas and Barachatti.
