प्रदर्शन सुबह करीब 9 बजे शुरू हुआ और दोपहर 4 बजे तक जारी रहा, जिससे सड़क पर वाहनों की लंबी कतारें लग गईं। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने टायर जलाकर और नारे लगाकर अपना विरोध दर्ज कराया। उनका आरोप था कि लंबे समय से इस मांग को नजरअंदाज किया जा रहा है, जबकि यह सड़क क्षेत्र के लिए जीवनरेखा के समान है। उन्होंने कहा कि मौजूदा सड़क की हालत खस्ता है और आए दिन दुर्घटनाएं होती रहती हैं, जिससे यात्रियों को भारी परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ता है।
