An unidentified elderly man's body was recovered from the Punpun River in Goh block of Aurangabad district on Saturday morning around 9 AM. The body was found near Hamidnagar village, causing a stir in the area and drawing a large crowd of locals to the riverbank. Residents immediately informed the police.

Upon receiving the information, a police team from Upahara police station promptly arrived at the scene. The police removed the body from the river and completed the necessary legal procedures. Upahara Station House Officer Akash Kumar stated that the matter is being investigated thoroughly. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased by contacting neighboring police stations to locate his family.

The circumstances surrounding the elderly man's death are currently unclear. Police officials stated that the cause and circumstances of the incident would become clear only after identification of the body and a detailed investigation. The police team is investigating the case from all angles.
