A long-standing land dispute escalated into a violent confrontation in the Bishambharpur police station area of Gopalganj district. A grandfather and his grandson were seriously injured after being attacked with a knife by named assailants near Jamunia More. Both victims have been admitted to the Sadar Hospital for treatment. The injured have been identified as Sudama Tiwari, son of late Ramadhar Tiwari of Matihania village, and his grandson, Prince Kumar.

According to reports, police had called Sudama Tiwari and his grandson to Jamunia More in connection with the land dispute. After the police left the scene, individuals who were allegedly lying in wait attacked Prince and stabbed him. Hearing his grandson's screams, Sudama Tiwari rushed to his rescue, but the attackers then stabbed him multiple times in the stomach and shoulder. The sudden assault caused panic at the spot.

Local residents helped transport the injured to a nearby hospital, from where they were referred to Sadar Hospital due to their critical condition after receiving first aid. Both are currently undergoing treatment under the supervision of doctors. Upon receiving information about the incident, Bishambharpur police arrived at the scene and promptly detained three suspects. The knife used in the attack has also been recovered. Police stated that an investigation is underway, and raids are being conducted to apprehend the absconding accused. A tense atmosphere prevails in the village following the incident.
