In Govindpur block, acceptance letters and house keys were distributed to 11 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) at a ceremony held on Thursday. The event was organized on the occasion of Union Minister for Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chauhan's visit to Bihar.

Block Development Officer Kumar Shailendra, along with 20-point committee President and Block President Shobha Kumari, and 20-point committee Vice President and BJP Block President Rajesh Kumar, jointly handed over the acceptance letters to the beneficiaries. Officials stated that approximately 426 beneficiaries across nine panchayats in Govindpur block have received benefits under the PMAY scheme.

Investigations were conducted to ensure the proper utilization of funds provided for housing construction and the completion of the work. It was found that 11 beneficiaries had fully completed the construction of their houses and had also performed housewarming ceremonies. After satisfactory verification, these 11 beneficiaries were given their acceptance letters and keys.

Rajesh Kumar informed that the inspection of housing construction for other beneficiaries is ongoing at the BDO level. Once the inspections are complete and construction is finished, eligible beneficiaries will receive further benefits and certificates as per the rules. The PMAY scheme plays a crucial role in providing pucca houses to homeless families in rural areas.
