Maintenance work was carried out at the Gurua power grid in Gurua block for approximately two hours on Tuesday afternoon, leading to a disruption in electricity supply. This caused significant inconvenience to market traders and individuals whose work relies on electricity. Junior Electrical Engineer Ramkrishna Mani stated that technical faults had developed in several areas connected to the power grid due to intermittent rain over the past three days. To rectify these issues and restore the power system, maintenance was conducted on Tuesday. Supply was restored after the completion of the work.

Meanwhile, in view of the upcoming festivals, Gurua Panchayat head Rinki Devi and RJD senior leader Surendra Kumar Yadav have demanded the replacement of dilapidated electricity wires in the market. Both leaders urged Junior Engineer Ramkrishna Mani to address the issue, highlighting that many electricity wires in the market area are in a very poor state and require immediate replacement to prevent any inconvenience or accidents during the festive season.
