A Gram Sabha was organized on Friday at the Panchayat Sarkar Bhawan complex of Harnatand Panchayat in Bagaha-2 block. The meeting was presided over by Mukhiya Dipendra Prasad and conducted by Deputy Mukhiya Chitranjan Kumar Mahto alias Pintoo Kumar. Numerous public representatives, ward members, and villagers attended the gathering.

The primary objective of the Gram Sabha was to inform villagers about various government schemes and encourage them to avail benefits according to their eligibility. Mukhiya Dipendra Prasad emphasized that the Gram Sabha serves as a crucial platform for disseminating information about development works and government initiatives directly to the rural populace.

During the meeting, details were provided regarding the first list of names added for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for the year 2024. Housing Assistant Gunjan Kumar elaborated on the scheme's provisions, stating that eligible beneficiaries included in the list would receive housing benefits as per regulations. He also explained the necessary procedures and eligibility criteria. Kumar clarified that villagers who have previously benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana would not be eligible for a second allocation.

Villagers were urged to contact the Panchayat office or relevant personnel for any information or assistance related to the schemes. The Gram Sabha also discussed other important issues concerning the development of the panchayat and public interest. Ward members Khurshid Alam, Ganga Vishnu Kumar, Rajesh Prasad, Hemant, Bijli Ram, Shobha Devi, and other public representatives and villagers were present at the event.
