The East Central Railway Employees Union (ECREU) has taken a significant step to ensure proper lighting in the Railway Colony located at the Coach Repair Factory in Harnaut. The union has demanded the installation of new lights at various locations within the colony and the repair of existing faulty lights.

Branch Secretary Vipin Bihari Pandit submitted a demand letter to the Chief Workshop Manager, requesting the installation of a total of 22 new lights at eight identified locations in the railway colony. The union emphasizes that adequate lighting is crucial for the safety of employees and their families, facilitating nighttime movement, and creating a better residential environment. Therefore, the railway administration should seriously consider this demand and take timely action.

The union has urged the railway administration to inspect all identified locations and install the specified number of new lights. Additionally, lights that are already installed but are non-functional should be promptly repaired. This initiative aims to improve the living conditions for employees and their families residing in the railway colony.
