After four days of continuous rainfall, the weather cleared in Harsiddhi block of East Champaran district on Sunday. While the cessation of rain brought relief to residents, farmers are facing significant losses to their paddy crops. Strong winds and incessant rain caused standing paddy crops in the fields to fall, raising concerns about a decline in production. Farmers report that this natural calamity has jeopardized both their hard work and investment.

Persistent rainfall led to severe waterlogging in several areas of Harsiddhi. Roads and lanes were submerged, causing considerable difficulties for two-wheeler riders and pedestrians. This situation exposed the inadequacies of the local drainage system. Despite the improved weather, farmers' worries persist as they now face the challenge of assessing crop damage and hoping for compensation.
