Based on information received from three heroin smugglers from Vaishali and Patna who were arrested in Turki, Muzaffarpur on Sunday, the STF arrested three more peddlers in Fatuha, Patna on Monday. Around 48 grams of heroin, valued at approximately 10 lakh rupees, was seized from them. The previous day, 27 lakh rupees worth of heroin was recovered from the three smugglers caught in Muzaffarpur. The STF is continuously acting against this racket involved in heroin supply from Assam to Bihar.

According to the STF, in a joint operation by a special team and Patna district police on Monday, three heroin smugglers were arrested during a raid in the Fatuha police station area. The arrested individuals include Chandan Kumar and Gautam Kumar, residents of Rustampur under Raghopur police station in Vaishali, and Akash Kumar, a resident of Mallepur. From them, 48 grams of heroin, one silver bracelet, one silver chain, three mobile phones, and one motorcycle were recovered.

The STF stated that the three arrested smugglers had been involved in drug trafficking for several years. They used to bring consignments of heroin from Badarpur in Assam and supply it to various districts of Bihar. Their network extends across several states, including Assam and Bihar. On Sunday, the STF had apprehended Kundan, Rohit Kumar (residents of Purushottampur Jafrabad under Raghopur police station, Vaishali), Prakash Kumar, Satish Kumar (residents of Paroha under Rustampur police station), and Kajal Devi (resident of Kacchi Dargah under Fatuha police station, Patna district) in Turki with 27 lakh rupees worth of heroin and 2.54 lakh rupees in cash. This second major operation in Fatuha was carried out based on the inputs gathered from their interrogation. The police are now working to connect the entire network of the gang and are also gathering information about the criminal history of the arrested smugglers.
