In a significant operation, Islampur police in Nalanda district have arrested four individuals in connection with separate cases involving murder and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Islampur Station House Officer (SHO) Sanjeev Kumar confirmed the arrests, stating that all four accused have been sent to judicial custody.

SHO Kumar detailed that one accused, who had been absconding in a murder case, was apprehended based on confidential information. This individual had been evading arrest for a considerable period, and the police team utilized both technical and human intelligence to track him down. Additionally, three other accused were arrested in two separate cases registered under the POCSO Act, which pertain to sexual offenses against minors. The police had been actively pursuing these sensitive cases.

According to the police, the accused in these cases had been at large since the complaints were filed, and continuous raids were being conducted for their apprehension. The SHO reiterated the police's commitment to curbing crime and bringing perpetrators to justice. He also emphasized that the police are conducting regular patrols and monitoring suspicious activities to maintain law and order in the area. The public has been urged to promptly report any suspicious activities or crimes to the police to facilitate timely action. These arrests are expected to bring justice in the respective cases, providing relief to the police administration.
