In Bhagalpur district's Naugachhia subdivision, Spur number 6 of the Ismailpur-Bindtoli Ring Dam has subsided by 50 to 60 meters towards the Ganges River. Following this incident, repair work is progressing rapidly in the affected section. Nayan Kumar, SDO of the Water Resources Department, stated that the subsidence occurred recently, but there is no cause for alarm. He assured local residents that the damaged section is being repaired robustly.

SDO Kumar clarified that this dam is crucial for protecting nearby areas when the Ganges River's water level rises. The department is fully active in fixing the subsided portion and is focused on ensuring the dam's safety. He reiterated that the situation is under control and people do not need to be apprehensive in any way. Repair work is ongoing on a war footing to maintain the dam's integrity and prevent any potential future threats.
