A dispute over cow dung storage escalated into a violent clash between two factions in Isri village, under the Khaira police station area of Jamui district. The incident resulted in six people sustaining serious injuries, with five of them in critical condition and referred to a higher medical center for advanced treatment.

The conflict reportedly stemmed from a long-standing disagreement between Munshi Yadav and his neighbor Sikandar Yadav over a designated spot for keeping cow dung. The dispute intensified on Tuesday when members from both sides confronted each other, resorting to lathis, sticks, and sharp weapons. From Munshi Yadav's side, Munshi Yadav (55), his wife Kari Devi (50), son Rajkumar Yadav (30), and daughter-in-law Pinky Devi (28) were injured. From the opposing side, Sikandar Yadav (45) and his wife Laxmi Devi (40) also sustained injuries.

Upon receiving information, local police promptly arrived at the scene and transported the injured to Khaira Referral Hospital. After initial treatment, doctors at Khaira Referral Hospital referred Munshi Yadav, Kari Devi, Rajkumar Yadav, Pinky Devi, and Sikandar Yadav to Jamui Sadar Hospital due to their severe condition. Plans are underway to refer these five individuals to higher centers in Patna or Bhagalpur. Laxmi Devi is currently receiving treatment at Khaira Referral Hospital.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Police forces have been deployed in the village to maintain peace, given the prevailing tension. Villagers are shocked by the incident and are appealing for calm.
