The closure of the Itaarhi railway crossing in Buxar district has significantly increased the difficulties faced by local residents. With the crossing shut, people are forced to travel longer distances, leading to a wastage of both time and fuel. Congress senior leader and former MLA candidate Arvind Pratap Shahi has strongly criticized the administration over this issue. He stated that the closure of the railway crossing is causing immense trouble for farmers, students, and the general public.

Shahi informed that the Itaarhi railway crossing has been closed for approximately one and a half months. Due to its closure, people are compelled to use alternative routes, which are considerably longer and inconvenient. He warned that if this problem is not resolved soon, the Congress party will launch a major agitation. He emphasized that the administration should be sensitive to public problems and address them immediately.

Local residents of the Itaarhi area have also expressed their distress. They state that this crossing was an essential part of their daily lives. Its closure makes it very difficult for them to go to hospitals, drop children off at school, and reach their fields. This becomes an even bigger problem, especially in emergency situations. People have demanded that the administration reopen this crossing as soon as possible or make a permanent alternative arrangement. The Congress leader has made it clear that this public inconvenience will no longer be tolerated, and if concrete steps are not taken soon, protests will be staged on the streets.
