In Bishentola village, under Jagdishpur block, approximately 250 residents from 21 families are grappling with severe waterlogging, forcing them to live in deplorable conditions. Houses and streets are inundated, causing immense hardship to the locals. Following reports of the problem, the Circle Officer (CO) of Jagdishpur visited the site on Friday to assess the situation.

The CO interacted with villagers, listening to their grievances in detail. Residents explained that due to the lack of proper drainage, even light rainfall leads to widespread waterlogging. Water enters their homes, disrupting daily life and increasing the risk of diseases. Children face difficulties attending school, and the elderly find it hard to leave their houses.

During the inspection, the CO observed that the drainage issue in Ward No. 11 of Bishentola has become critical, with knee-deep water accumulated around homes and in alleys. He instructed local public representatives and concerned departmental officials to take immediate steps for a permanent solution to this problem. The CO assured that appropriate drainage systems would be put in place soon to relieve the villagers of their distress. He added that a detailed report would be prepared and sent to higher authorities to ensure necessary action. Villagers expressed satisfaction with the CO's inspection and assurance, hoping for a swift resolution to their long-standing problem.
