The ambitious 'Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal' (Tap Water to Every Home) scheme, a flagship initiative of the Bihar government aimed at providing clean drinking water to every household in the state, has reportedly failed to reach its intended beneficiaries in Ward No. 4 of Jagmohara Panchayat. Residents continue to struggle for access to potable water, impacting their daily lives and health.

According to locals, the work of laying pipelines and providing connections under the scheme remains incomplete. Many homes have not received pipelines at all, and even where they have been installed, there is no water supply. Villagers claim they have repeatedly complained to the local administration and elected representatives, but their grievances have gone unaddressed. As a result, they are still forced to fetch water from distant hand pumps or wells, which are often contaminated and pose health risks.

Women and the elderly, in particular, face immense difficulties in carrying water. The problem exacerbates during summer months when water sources begin to dry up. Residents have urged the government and concerned officials to intervene immediately and ensure the successful implementation of the 'Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal' scheme in Ward 4, providing them with access to clean drinking water and ensuring they are not deprived of this basic amenity. The scheme's failure not only causes inconvenience but also raises questions about the execution of government initiatives.
