Under this campaign, the pruning of trees and clearing of bushes growing along the railway tracks are being carried out on priority. The main objective is to ensure that during heavy rains and strong winds, trees or their branches do not fall on the tracks and disrupt rail traffic.

According to railway officials, incidents like landslides, waterlogging, and falling trees become common during the monsoon, adversely affecting train movement.
