जमुई जिले में वित्तीय धोखाधड़ी से बचाव के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में लगभग 300 महिलाओं को वित्तीय सुरक्षा से संबंधित महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी प्रदान की गई। इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य महिलाओं को ऑनलाइन और ऑफलाइन होने वाली धोखाधड़ी से बचाना था, ताकि वे अपनी गाढ़ी कमाई सुरक्षित रख सकें।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान, डीएसपी ने विशेष रूप से महिलाओं को सावधान रहने की सलाह दी। उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा कि किसी भी अंजान व्यक्ति के साथ अपने बैंक खाते से संबंधित जानकारी, एटीएम कार्ड का पिन, या वन-टाइम पासवर्ड (OTP) बिल्कुल भी साझा न करें। उन्होंने बताया कि अपराधी विभिन्न तरीकों से लोगों को फंसाने की कोशिश करते हैं, जैसे लॉटरी जीतने का झांसा देना, नौकरी का लालच देना, या सरकारी योजनाओं के नाम पर धोखाधड़ी करना। ऐसे मामलों में, वे अक्सर बैंक डिटेल्स या OTP मांगते हैं, जिसका उपयोग वे खाते से पैसे निकालने के लिए करते हैं।
डीएसपी ने यह भी समझाया कि अगर किसी को कोई संदिग्ध कॉल या मैसेज आता है, जिसमें व्यक्तिगत या वित्तीय जानकारी मांगी जाती है, तो तुरंत सतर्क हो जाना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि बैंक या कोई भी सरकारी संस्था कभी भी फोन पर आपसे ऐसी गोपनीय जानकारी नहीं मांगती है। उन्होंने महिलाओं को सलाह दी कि वे अपने परिवार के सदस्यों, खासकर पढ़े-लिखे युवाओं से ऐसी किसी भी संदिग्ध गतिविधि के बारे में चर्चा करें।
इस जागरूकता अभियान का मुख्य फोकस महिलाओं को सशक्त बनाना था ताकि वे वित्तीय फैसलों में अधिक जागरूक और सुरक्षित रह सकें। कार्यक्रम में साइबर क्राइम से बचाव के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर भी चर्चा की गई। महिलाओं को बताया गया कि अगर वे किसी धोखाधड़ी का शिकार होती हैं, तो उन्हें तुरंत अपने नजदीकी पुलिस स्टेशन में शिकायत दर्ज करानी चाहिए या साइबर क्राइम हेल्पलाइन पर संपर्क करना चाहिए। इस पहल से जमुई की महिलाएं वित्तीय धोखाधड़ी के खिलाफ बेहतर तरीके से तैयार हो सकेंगी।
A significant awareness program was recently organized in Jamui district to educate approximately 300 women about financial security and protection against fraud. The primary aim was to empower women to safeguard their hard-earned money from various online and offline scams.
During the event, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) specifically cautioned women against sharing sensitive financial information. He emphasized the critical importance of never disclosing bank account details, ATM PINs, or One-Time Passwords (OTPs) with any unknown individual. The DSP explained common tactics used by fraudsters, such as promising lottery winnings, job offers, or government scheme benefits, all with the intent of eliciting bank details or OTPs to drain accounts.
The DSP further advised participants to be vigilant about suspicious calls or messages requesting personal or financial data. He clarified that banks or government agencies would never ask for such confidential information over the phone. Women were encouraged to discuss any suspicious activities with their family members, particularly educated youth.
This initiative aimed to equip women with the knowledge to make informed and secure financial decisions, fostering greater awareness against cybercrime. Participants were also informed about the steps to take if they fall victim to fraud, including reporting incidents to local police or the cybercrime helpline. This program is expected to significantly enhance financial literacy and security among women in Jamui.
