A tragic incident has occurred in Jamui district where a young girl lost her life after being struck by lightning. The unfortunate event took place when the girl ventured out during heavy rainfall to save her goat. According to family members, the girl was near her home when a sudden downpour began. Seeing her goat caught in the rain, she rushed to rescue it. Tragically, at that very moment, lightning struck, and she was hit directly, leading to her instantaneous death.

Upon receiving information about the incident, local police promptly arrived at the scene and took custody of the body. After completing the necessary preliminary procedures, the police sent the girl's body to Sadar Hospital Jamui for post-mortem examination. While the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem report, it appears to be a case of death due to lightning. The incident has cast a pall of grief over the entire area, and the family is in deep shock.
