On Sunday, August 30, 2026, the Superintendent of Police, Jehanabad, officially inaugurated the newly constructed Jhunaathi Police Station. The inauguration ceremony was attended by several senior police officers, including the Additional Superintendent of Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Sadar), Deputy Superintendent of Police (Cyber Crime), Deputy Superintendent of Police (Reserved), along with a large number of local villagers.

The operation of the new police station will enhance police accessibility and effectiveness in areas adjacent to the Jehanabad-Arwal border. Now, local residents will not have to travel far for their problems and complaints; they will receive prompt and accessible police services at the local level. This will strengthen security in the border region and establish better coordination between the public and the police. This step is expected to aid in crime control and maintaining peace in the area.

During the inauguration program, the Superintendent of Police met with the schoolchildren present and encouraged them by distributing pens and chocolates. Additionally, conveying a message of environmental protection, the Superintendent of Police and other attending officers planted saplings within the police station premises. On this occasion, people were urged to be environmentally conscious and plant more trees. The commencement of the Jhunaathi Police Station is expected to provide local police facilities to the residents of the border area and further enhance security and law and order in the region.
