Jehanabad Police organized a special cyber awareness program at Manas International School on Wednesday. Under the directives of the Superintendent of Police, the Deputy Superintendent (Cyber Crime) and the Women's Police Station In-charge spearheaded this initiative as part of the 'Police Didi' and 'Naya Savera 3.0' campaigns. The primary objective was to educate students about the increasing cybercrimes, encourage safe digital practices, and provide crucial information related to women's safety and empowerment.

During the program, students were given detailed explanations about various forms of cybercrime, including digital arrest, online fraud, fake calls, phishing, OTP scams, and banking fraud. Officials also highlighted the misuse of social media and other methods of cyber deception, advising students not to share personal or banking information with unknown individuals and to avoid clicking on any suspicious links. They emphasized the importance of using the internet and social media with caution and responsibility to prevent falling victim to cyber fraud.

Under the 'Naya Savera 3.0' campaign, information on women's empowerment, safety, girls' rights, self-confidence, and human trafficking prevention was also shared. Female students were encouraged to report any form of harassment, cyberbullying, or suspicious activity to the police without fear, to ensure timely action. Officials advised that in case of cyber fraud, immediate contact should be made with the National Cyber Helpline 1930 or emergency service 112 to file a complaint, as timely reporting increases the chances of recovering defrauded money. The program concluded with the message 'Stay Alert, Stay Safe,' urging students to become responsible digital citizens and contribute to the prevention of cybercrimes.
