In a brazen challenge to law enforcement, thieves targeted two homes in Jehanabad city, stealing lakhs worth of jewelry and cash in a single night. The incidents occurred within the Hulasganj police station area, leaving local residents in fear and anger.

The first theft took place at the home of Umesh Prasad, who resides near Kako Mor in the Hulasganj police station vicinity. Prasad's family was reportedly visiting relatives, leaving the house vacant. Seizing the opportunity, the burglars broke the grill, gained entry, and made off with jewelry valued at lakhs of rupees, along with 40,000 rupees in cash. Upon their return, the family discovered their locks broken and belongings ransacked, immediately alerting the police.

The second incident occurred in another part of the city, where another house was targeted. Here too, thieves broke through the grill and stole gold and silver jewelry worth lakhs. The similar modus operandi in both thefts suggests to the police that a single gang might be responsible.

Upon receiving the reports, Hulasganj police promptly arrived at the scenes and commenced their investigation. They inspected the crime sites and gathered necessary information from the victimized families. Police have assured that the culprits will be apprehended soon. However, these incidents have raised concerns about the city's security. Local residents are demanding increased night patrolling and stringent action against thieves to prevent such occurrences.
