Six fans were stolen from two government schools located in Purani Bazar, Jhajha Nagar, Jamui district, during the Durga Puja holidays. Both schools, Primary School (Maktab) and Anugrah Middle School, operate within the same premises. The headmistresses of both schools have filed a complaint at the Jhajha police station.

Kumari Sunita, Headmistress of Primary School (Maktab), stated that upon her arrival at the school on Thursday, the cook informed her about a broken lock and the theft. Upon inspection, three fans were found missing from her school. Kalpana, Headmistress of Anugrah Middle School, reported that two ceiling fans and one wall fan were stolen from a room in her school on October 18. She was informed by the cook the following day.

According to the headmistresses, there is no night watchman at the schools, which thieves exploited during the closed Durga Puja holidays. Jhajha Police Station in-charge Mintu Kumar Singh confirmed that the police have visited the school premises and initiated an investigation. Further action in the case is underway.
