कादिरगंज पंचायत के किसानों का कहना है कि ट्रांसफार्मर खराब होने के कारण करीब एक महीने से सिंचाई पूरी तरह से ठप है। धान की रोपनी के बाद फसल को पानी की सख्त जरूरत होती है, लेकिन बिजली नहीं मिलने से मोटर पंप नहीं चल पा रहे हैं। इसका सीधा असर धान की फसल पर पड़ रहा है, जो अब सूखने लगी है। किसानों ने बताया कि उन्होंने कई बार बिजली विभाग के अधिकारियों से शिकायत की है, लेकिन अभी तक कोई ठोस कार्रवाई नहीं हुई है।
किसानों का आरोप है कि बिजली विभाग उनकी समस्याओं को गंभीरता से नहीं ले रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि समय रहते ट्रांसफार्मर नहीं बदला गया और सिंचाई व्यवस्था बहाल नहीं हुई, तो उन्हें भारी आर्थिक नुकसान होगा। कई किसानों ने बताया कि उन्होंने कर्ज लेकर धान की खेती की है और यदि फसल बर्बाद हो जाती है तो उनके लिए कर्ज चुकाना मुश्किल हो जाएगा।
स्थानीय जनप्रतिनिधियों ने भी इस मामले में हस्तक्षेप कर बिजली विभाग से जल्द समाधान निकालने की अपील की है। किसानों ने चेतावनी दी है कि यदि उनकी मांगों पर शीघ्र ध्यान नहीं दिया गया, तो वे आंदोलन करने को मजबूर होंगे। उनकी मुख्य मांग है कि खराब ट्रांसफार्मर को तुरंत बदला जाए और खेतों तक बिजली आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित की जाए ताकि धान की फसल को बचाया जा सके।

Many have taken loans for paddy cultivation, and crop failure would make repayment arduous. Local representatives have also intervened, urging the electricity department for a swift resolution. Farmers warn of protests if their demands for immediate transformer replacement and electricity supply for irrigation are not met, aiming to save their paddy crops.
