In Kaimur district, 20,000 seed balls are being prepared with the aim of promoting greenery. Environmental enthusiast Shivam Kumar, a resident of Ward No. 9 in Bhabhua city, along with his team, has collected various types of seeds. These include seeds of fruit-bearing and shade-giving trees like Neem, Jamun, Peepal, Kachnar, Khaira, Kaner, Gulmohar, Amaltas, Siris, and Sheesham.

On Friday, a program for preparing seed balls was organized at the Municipal Middle School, Bhabhua, located at the district headquarters, under the leadership of Shivam Kumar. Schoolgirls actively participated in preparing a large number of seed balls from various seeds. Shivam Kumar urged people to come forward to protect nature, emphasizing that alongside tree plantation, seed ball planting should also be adopted. He explained that by throwing seed balls in fields or mountains, the rainwater will dissolve them, leading to the germination of plants that will eventually grow into trees.

Efforts are being made to raise awareness and inspire more people towards environmental conservation, aiming to provide a clean and beautiful environment for future generations. The school's headmaster, teachers, and students were present during the event. Shivam Kumar mentioned that with the arrival of monsoon, this period is most favorable for plants. He highlighted that trees help bring rain, and therefore, this opportunity should be utilized to spread greenery. Seed balls, a mixture of soil, clay, and seeds, are an excellent option for restoring greenery on hillsides.
