To streamline and bring transparency to the fertilizer distribution process in Kaimur district, a training workshop was organized for fertilizer dealers on the use of the FSAS (Framework for Fertilizer Sale) app. The workshop took place on Tuesday at the district agriculture office's auditorium, chaired by District Agriculture Officer Vikas Kumar. Saket Kumar, a trainer from Patna, provided detailed information on the fertilizer booking and distribution process through the FSAS app to approximately 400 fertilizer dealers in the district.

This digital system will enable farmers to book fertilizers according to their needs from home via a mobile app. A farmer ID is mandatory for this process. The new system aims to eliminate the need for farmers to stand in long queues for fertilizers. Farmers will be able to pre-book fertilizers based on their crop and requirements using the FSAS app. After booking, a token number will be issued. Farmers will log in to the app using this token number. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked with their Aadhaar card or farmer ID for verification. After OTP verification, farmers can determine the quantity of fertilizer based on their crop and acreage.

The farmer's identity will be verified on the mobile app through their Aadhaar number and OTP. Farmers can easily book fertilizers from their mobile by entering details of their farm and crop. After booking, they will receive a QR code, which, when scanned at an authorized dealer, will immediately provide them with the fertilizer. Officials believe this initiative will bring transparency to fertilizer distribution and ensure that fertilizers reach genuine farmers. The responsibility of informing farmers about the new system has been assigned to agricultural workers at the panchayat and block levels.
