The Kaimur district administration has moved into action regarding the dilapidated condition of the Mohania Checkpost. Large potholes and poor road surfaces around the checkpost were causing significant difficulties for vehicle movement, with the constant pressure from heavy vehicles increasing the risk of accidents. The administration has now initiated preparations to develop this checkpost into a modern model checkpost.

Mohania Checkpost witnesses a large volume of daily traffic, including a substantial number of heavy vehicles. Continuous operation of heavy vehicles combined with the poor road conditions had led to numerous potholes around the checkpost, causing inconvenience to drivers and raising concerns about accidents.

District Magistrate Kumar Anurag acknowledged the poor road conditions around the checkpost, stating that a large number of vehicles pass through here. He announced that considering the current state of the checkpost, it has been decided to develop it into a modern and model facility. According to the DM, correspondence is underway with the concerned department for road repair and the modern redevelopment of the checkpost, and a proposal is being sent.

The administration believes that improved road conditions and modern facilities around the checkpost will streamline vehicle movement. This will also enhance vehicle inspection and revenue collection processes. The administration anticipates that the development of the model checkpost will not only provide relief to drivers but also boost state revenue.
