Kanti MLA Mohd. Israil Mansoori met with Bihar's Food and Consumer Protection Minister, Shri Madan Sahni, on Wednesday. The primary objective of this meeting was to demand the issuance of new ration cards for approximately 10,000 poor and deprived families in his Kanti assembly constituency. MLA Mansoori informed the minister that a significant number of families in the Kanti constituency are living below the poverty line and currently do not possess ration cards. These families are unable to avail the benefits of government food security schemes, leading to considerable hardship in their daily lives.

The MLA urged the minister to identify these families and provide them with ration cards as soon as possible, enabling them to receive subsidized food grains and meet their basic needs. He also emphasized that the lack of ration cards prevents many families from accessing benefits from schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana and the Mukhyamantri Khadya Suraksha Yojana. Minister Sahni listened to the MLA's demands seriously and assured him that necessary steps would be taken. He stated that he would instruct relevant officials to expedite the process of providing ration cards to eligible poor families in the Kanti assembly constituency. This initiative is expected to bring significant relief to thousands of poor families in the Kanti region.
