In Badaun, Kanwariyas continued their journey on Saturday for the 'Jalabhishek' (water offering) on the last Monday of Sawan. Although the crowd is currently relatively low, the administration anticipates a significant increase in numbers as local Kanwariyas are expected to arrive on Sunday. Since Thursday night, lakhs of Kanwariyas have collected water from the Kachhla Gangaghat, located on the Bareilly-Mathura highway. However, this year, the crowd on Saturday was not as dense as in previous years.

The Kanwariyas are seen enjoying themselves with DJ music, dancing, and steadily moving towards their destinations. Bhandaras (community feasts) are being organized at various places for their welcome and convenience. Pilgrims are resting at designated spots, where some are also preparing their own meals before resuming their journey.

To ensure safety and smooth traffic flow, a diversion system has been implemented. The movement of heavy vehicles has been completely restricted. Separate routes have been designated for incoming and outgoing motorcycle-borne Kanwariyas to prevent traffic disruptions and jams.
