In two separate raids conducted in the Kasba police station area of Purnia district, the police have seized a total of 7.500 liters of foreign liquor. During these operations, one female peddler was arrested, while another accused managed to flee the scene upon seeing the police.

In the first raid, the police recovered 3.750 liters of foreign liquor from the possession of a woman. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against her under the relevant sections of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act. In the second operation, another 3.750 liters of foreign liquor was seized in an abandoned state. The police are now actively searching for the absconding accused.

The Prohibition Department has appealed to the public to share any information related to illegal liquor on the toll-free number 15545. The department has also assured that the identity of the informant will be kept strictly confidential. These actions are part of the police's ongoing efforts to curb the illegal liquor trade in the region.
