Katihar, Senior Correspondent. Youth in the district are set to get an opportunity to showcase their talent and advance in the field of art. The District Level Youth Festival-2026 will be organized under the joint aegis of the Art and Culture Department, Bihar, and the District Administration. The festival will feature competitions in various disciplines, including group folk songs, group folk dances, painting, street plays, and poetry writing.

Students from government and non-government schools, colleges, and various institutions in the district, along with other interested young artists, will be eligible to participate. The last date for submitting applications to participate in the competition is October 28.

District Art and Culture Officer Reena Gupta informed that participants aged between 15 and 29 years can take part in the Youth Festival. Eligibility will be determined based on the age limit as of August 17, 2026. Interested youth must obtain application forms from the District Art and Culture Office and submit them in the prescribed format. The office operates from the Amrapali Training Center, located in front of the Block and Anchal offices.

She also stated that registration on the 'My Bharat Portal' is mandatory for participants in the Youth Festival. All interested participants have been urged to submit their applications within the stipulated deadline to ensure timely registration. Youth who perform excellently in various disciplines will get the opportunity to represent Katihar district at the State Level Youth Festival. Detailed information regarding competition disciplines, application procedures, and participation can be obtained from the District Art and Culture Office.
