Katihar district has achieved a significant milestone in promoting innovation and quality education. Two innovative teachers from the district, Viplav Kumar from Middle School Arihana in Azamnagar block and Kumar Mangalam from Upgraded Middle School Molnapur in Kadwa block, have been selected for the 25-member state-level team participating in a two-day national capacity building workshop in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. These two educators will represent Bihar at the national level.

The selection was confirmed by an official letter issued on October 14 by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Patna, under the directives of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. This two-day national workshop is scheduled for October 26 and 27 at the prestigious World Skill Center in Bhubaneswar. It will be conducted by the PSS Central Institute of Vocational Education, operating under NCERT Bhopal.

Teacher Viplav Kumar is renowned in the district for his project-based learning, integration of mathematics and science with daily life, and innovative teaching methods. The primary objective of this national workshop is to effectively implement vocational education and practical skills in schools. Participants will be introduced to the intricacies of successfully implementing initiatives like "Bagless Day," "Kaushal Bodh," and the "My Career Advisor" mobile app. Upon their return, these two teachers, having been part of the state-level team, will serve as master trainers for other educators in the district, further enhancing the quality and innovation in education across Katihar.
