Khagaria police have achieved a significant breakthrough with the arrest of notorious criminal Hira Paswan, who had a bounty of ₹50,000 on his head. Paswan was wanted in connection with several serious cases, including those related to the Arms Act, robbery, and extortion. Superintendent of Police (SP) Amitesh Kumar confirmed the arrest, highlighting it as a major success for the Khagaria district.

Police had been actively pursuing Hira Paswan for a considerable period, conducting continuous raids to apprehend him. His arrest is expected to curb criminal activities in the district. Paswan faces multiple charges across various police stations in Khagaria and is believed to be a member of an organized criminal gang responsible for robberies and extortion in the region.
