Police in Khagaria district have successfully busted a mini gun factory, recovering a significant cache of weapons manufacturing equipment. During the police raid, the primary accused managed to evade arrest and fled the scene. Authorities have launched an intensive search operation to apprehend him.

The special team, formed under the directives of the Superintendent of Police (SP), acted on confidential information to conduct this operation. The mini gun factory was reportedly operating in a secluded area, where illegal firearms were being manufactured. Police seized semi-finished weapons, a lathe machine, a drill machine, a grinder, and various other tools used in the production of country-made pistols and other small arms.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the locality. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered under the Arms Act, and the search for the absconding main accused is underway. According to police sources, the factory had been operational for a considerable period, supplying locally manufactured weapons to criminals, contributing to a rise in crime in the district. Police are now working to identify other members of this gang and dismantle its network.

Police officials stated that such raids would continue in the future to curb the manufacturing and sale of illegal weapons. The SP has also appealed to the public to report any information regarding illegal or suspicious activities to the police promptly, to enable timely action against criminals. This bust is considered a major success for the police, expected to help control the proliferation of illegal weapons in the region.
