The Bihar government is offering financial assistance to farmers for crop damage incurred during Kharif 2026. State Agriculture Minister Ram Kripal Yadav recently disbursed over Rs 104 crore as crop aid to more than 1.17 lakh farmers for Kharif 2024, directly via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Minister Yadav has specifically urged flood-affected farmers to apply for the 'Bihar State Crop Assistance Scheme' for crop losses suffered in Kharif 2026. The deadline for applications under this scheme is October 31. This initiative aims to provide free financial support to farmers to help them recover from crop losses caused by natural calamities.
