A tragic road accident occurred on Monday in the Khizersarai police station area along the Gaya-Patna main road. A student returning from tuition was seriously injured when an auto-rickshaw overturned in an attempt by a speeding car to overtake it. The incident took place near the Hanuman Mandir in Khizersarai market, causing a stir in the area.

According to eyewitnesses, several other students were also traveling in the auto-rickshaw, returning home after their tuition classes. A speeding car approaching from behind attempted to overtake the auto. During the overtaking maneuver, the car collided with the auto, causing it to lose control and overturn. As the auto flipped, all its occupants fell onto the road.

A female student sustained serious injuries in the accident and was immediately rushed to the hospital with the help of local residents. She suffered severe head injuries and other bodily harm. Other students also sustained minor injuries but are reported to be out of danger. After the incident, the car driver fled the scene with his vehicle.

Upon receiving information about the accident, Khizersarai police arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation. The police removed the overturned auto from the road and normalized traffic. Authorities are scanning nearby CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the absconding car driver. This incident once again highlights the dangers of speeding vehicles and reckless driving on the Gaya-Patna main road. Local residents have urged the administration to strictly enforce traffic rules and curb high speeds on this route.
