Kishanganj Police have achieved a significant breakthrough in their intensified crackdown on crime and illicit substances. In a special operation conducted across various police station areas within the district, a total of 42 individuals have been arrested. Alongside these arrests, police have seized a substantial quantity of illegal narcotics and alcohol, marking a crucial step towards curbing unlawful activities in the region.

According to information released by the police, 40 liters of narcotic syrup were recovered during this operation. This syrup is frequently misused by youth for intoxication, and its seizure represents a major blow to drug traffickers. Additionally, police confiscated 165 liters of illegal liquor. The illicit liquor trade is a significant challenge in prohibition-enforced Bihar, and the recovery of such a large quantity will aid in controlling it.

The 42 arrested individuals include persons wanted in various criminal cases, those involved in the liquor trade, and drug traffickers. Police have registered cases against all of them under relevant sections and initiated further proceedings. These arrests are expected to lead to a reduction in the district's crime rate.

Furthermore, the police also recovered 10 different vehicles, likely used for transporting illegal alcohol or narcotics. The recovery of these vehicles highlights the methods criminals employ to carry out their activities. The Superintendent of Police stated that this campaign to curb crime and illegal activities in the district will continue relentlessly. He also appealed to the public to promptly report any suspicious activities to the police so that strict action can be taken against such elements.
