A new twist has emerged in the suspicious death case of a woman in the Kurhani police station area of Muzaffarpur district. Following a complaint from the deceased woman's maternal family, the administration has exhumed the body for a postmortem examination. The incident occurred in Kurhani, where the family of the deceased, identified as Pinky Devi, has leveled serious allegations regarding her death.

According to reports, Pinky Devi died a few days ago and was subsequently buried. However, Pinky's maternal relatives harbored suspicions about her death, alleging that she was murdered and her death was not natural. They demanded a thorough investigation from the local police and administration. Taking cognizance of their complaint, the Kurhani police initiated further action due to the gravity of the matter.

After completing the administrative and judicial procedures, Pinky Devi's body was exhumed from the grave on Friday in the presence of a magistrate. A significant police force was also present to prevent any untoward incidents. The body has been sent to Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH) in Muzaffarpur for postmortem. The exact cause of the woman's death will only be revealed after the postmortem report is available.

Police stated that action in this case would be taken based on the postmortem report and further investigation. The maternal family alleges that Pinky was being harassed for dowry and was subsequently murdered. However, the in-laws have vehemently denied these accusations.
