Lakhisarai: Children Adorn Schools with Beautiful Rangolis Before Diwali Holidays
In Lakhisarai, a wave of enthusiasm and excitement swept through various primary, middle, secondary, and higher secondary schools on Friday, just before the commencement of Diwali holidays. Students actively participated in creating beautiful rangolis to share the joy of the festival. Using vibrant colors, flowers, and various decorative materials, children crafted stunning artworks within the school premises. Through these rangolis, they conveyed messages of Diwali's joy, light, cleanliness, and prosperity.
During these activities, the creative talent of the children was prominently displayed. Students showcased their artistic abilities through diverse shapes and traditional designs. Some created lamp motifs, while others adorned spaces with attractive floral and color arrangements. Teachers encouraged the children and also educated them about the cultural and social significance of Indian festivals.
Ravi Kumar, the headmaster of Upgraded Secondary School Pokhrama, stated that festivals like Diwali provide an opportunity to foster creativity, mutual cooperation, and respect for cultural traditions among children. Activities such as rangoli making in schools allow children to exhibit their talents. He emphasized that alongside academics, such creative endeavors play a crucial role in the holistic development of children. Diwali, being a festival of light, cleanliness, and positivity, it is the school's responsibility to connect children with their culture and traditions on such occasions.
It is noteworthy that government schools in the district will observe holidays for Diwali and Chhath from Saturday, November 7, until November 17. The rangoli making and other activities organized before the holidays further enhanced the festive joy among the children.
