Lakhs of rupees in cash and jewelry were stolen from the rented house of a fish trader in Simra village, under Dumra block in Sitamarhi district. This incident raises serious questions about the security situation in the village.

According to available information, the fish trader has been identified as Ramnaresh Sahni, who resides in a rented accommodation in Simra village. Thieves targeted his house, making off with cash worth lakhs of rupees and valuable ornaments. The incident has caused a stir in the area, leaving residents in a state of fear.

Victim Ramnaresh Sahni stated that he discovered the theft upon waking up in the morning. He found his belongings scattered and the wardrobe open. Upon inspection, he realized that lakhs of rupees in cash and gold and silver jewelry were missing. He promptly reported the incident to the local police.
