Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav's health has suddenly deteriorated. He is scheduled to be taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi today, July 18, for advanced treatment. Earlier, on Friday, he underwent a checkup at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) in Patna.

According to family sources, Lalu Yadav had been feeling unwell for the past few days, leading to a detailed medical examination at IGIMS on Friday. The checkup revealed some complications related to his pre-existing conditions and advancing age. Doctors, considering his condition, recommended that he be placed under the supervision of specialists at Delhi AIIMS.

Accompanying Lalu Yadav to Delhi will be his wife and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, elder daughter and Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti, and younger son Tej Pratap Yadav. Family members are concerned about his health and hope he receives appropriate treatment at Delhi AIIMS.

This is not the first time Lalu Yadav has been taken to Delhi AIIMS for treatment. He has been battling several serious ailments, including kidney and heart-related issues. He also underwent a kidney transplant some time ago. His health remains consistently fluctuating, requiring regular medical attention.

News of Lalu Yadav's deteriorating health has caused concern among RJD workers and his supporters, who are praying for his speedy recovery. Party leaders have also expressed wishes for his quick return to health.
