In Lauriya circle of West Champaran, the strike by revenue staff, called by the Bihar State Land Reforms Employees Association, continues. Nine regular revenue employees and one circle Amin are on strike, demanding the fulfillment of their 17-point charter, severely impacting the functioning of the circle office.

Due to this strike, numerous crucial tasks related to land and revenue have come to a standstill. People visiting the circle office for mutation, jamabandi (land records), and other land-related works are facing significant difficulties. Their essential tasks are not being completed on time, forcing them to wait indefinitely.

The strike is also negatively affecting students. Those preparing to fill out examination forms are encountering problems with the verification of essential certificates such as NCL (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS (Economically Weaker Section), and others. Due to the disruption in verification work, many students are returning disappointed, as the delay in obtaining certificates is exacerbating their problems.

Lauriaya Circle Officer Ashu Ranjan stated that the strike by revenue staff and Amin is disrupting office operations. He has informed senior officials about the situation. The officer mentioned that one revenue employee has been engaged under an alternative arrangement to ensure that essential work can continue as much as possible, aiming to minimize inconvenience to the public.
